2004-2005 jgtc widebody kit 90% complete
These are some shots taken at the Modellista Designs meet earlier this month
Limited Production of 19 kits world wide. $7400 msrp fiberglass
dry carbon version will be available in the future @$12,000
Kit will be available through MVP motorsports.

Kit is near to scale, pending measurements off a jgtc supra.
This is not designed to be a kit for a car to daily drive although i'm sure you could, so i don't want to hear about how "i wouldn't put this kit on as my daily driver etc"

This is a track/show oriented widebody capable of running 18x13's in the front (like the authentic jgtc's) we weren't able to cut the fender's as high as we wanted like the authentic jgtc car because of the different suspension geometry on the jgtc race cars but we did cut as high as we can and it will allow for 335/40/18's or bigger.

This is not the finalized version as this is just the plug for the mold.
expect to see 3 of these kits tearing up the road courses across the country come a couple months from now

edit: fyi edges are not rounded yet for measurement purposes
and fuel tank will be replaced w/ a fuel cell and side exhaust
side diffuser is not pictured as it is still at the metal shop

I'd like to see it in the final format. The fit doesn't look too good to me at the meoment. Modellista do a really nice CF lip spoiler and rear diffuser.

I had great hope for this kit, but i can't say i'm liking it much at the moment either.

If they get the contours right it'll be nice, but it looks like they've just slapped some clay on the std body kit.
And what's going on with the bonnet corners by the windscreen !

Martin F 20th February 2006 08:40 PM

Bonnet's been raised at the back to allow air to escape from the engine bay.

Maybe it's the 1930's photos not doing it any justice.

Hey guys, appretiate the criticism,

Here's a few things to clarify.

The hood (bonnet) is not bolted on , we just threw it on top of the car to hide the *special engine bay*

all the corners and lines have not been sanded down yet because we need to make use of hard edges for measurement purposes.

Lastly the last 10% will bring the car in unison together, the car was barely primered to take these shots and has not been sanded down accordingly.

with that being said, i'm proud to unveil a true road course attacking widebody capable of accompanying the widest tires possible.

someone spoke in regards to fitment, yet this is just the plug, maybe you were refering to the hood sitting off the hinges?:hand:

this will be a limited production kit, be on the look out for some in the US and Japan once its done w/ paint ;)

Hi, thanks for visiting, nice to get to talk to the people behind it.

From my statement I said earlier it is because like you say its not sanded down and finished yet. Personally I like Supra bonnets that are lifted up and vented at the back, think it has a real race pedigree thing behind it......cant wait for the finished pics.... ;)

Suprash 2nd March 2006 11:58 PM

In fact looking at the pics side by side, that will be pretty spot on once you have teh square edges rounded off..........nice job, how much for the kit, or cant you say.....

if a bonnet is properly designed it doesn't need washers in the back to lift it up ;)

thanks for the compliment, i'll post pics once its finnished.

thats not a problem,

the price was actually posted by whomever posted this thread in the first place since he copied and pasted from supraforums.com

if you would like i can remove the price from my own post but you'd have to contact the thread starter to remove the price in his thread also

thanks

supra dave 3rd March 2006 12:03 PM

it ok, but to me it steels the sleak roundyness of the supra, maybe look a bit better on something like a sykline r34, or something a bit more square

I like the JGTC supras very much, & this kit looks like it will be very nice. It's just missing one thing though - the very high wheel arches that allow the suspension to be so low & giving it that proper racecar look.

Supradude666 5th March 2006 02:55 PM

Yea i like the look of that kit..

just like driving your very own JGTC hehe....:bumlick:

Suprash 7th March 2006 07:36 AM

Mmmmmmmmm, I have been trying to decide now for a while what I will get when my endowement matures in a year and a half.............my parents started it when I was 15 and keep saying to me "you'd better not spend it on that car". Im sure the'll love it when a JGTC Supra pulls up........
