Looking for a change in car, had enough of the rx7 fuel consumtion! Its an awesome car to drive, handling is spot on but i'd like something more economic. Im after a swap/px with a supra non turbo with nice wheels & kit or possibly a Twin turbo auto or manual will put in extra cash for the right car, not a fan of white supras but any other colour considered.
RX7 Spec: 1994, Black, Manual Type R2 (2 seater, improved interior, twin oil coolers & 280bhp) twin turbo. 50000miles, absolutly immaculate condition inside & out. Engine has been compression tested recently with good figures (7-7.5 bar all round) with means many many thousand miles left in it. Exterior: Veilside front Bumper, FEED vented bonnet & Rays Mazdaspeed MS01 split rim 17"s with 235 front and 255 rear tyres (toyo, with loads of tread left), complete with all the center caps! I still have the original bumper & bonnet if required. Mechanically standard, underneath is very clean, waxoil'd as soon as it arrived in the uk. Interior is really really mint the only thing that lets it down is a small wear patch on the drivers seat bolster. It has the polished rx7 sills, rx7 mats & rx7 pedals. Sound system: Full alpine system: alpine motorised front cd/mp3 player, alpine 3 way 6x9's built in behind the seats, alpine 12" type r sub built into the boot floor powered by an alpine amp, all wires hidden. Totally standard engine & well looked after. I imported it myself last year after spending months finding an unmodified & unmolested one. It was grade 4 at auction with only 1 owner in japan & 74000kms. I registered it properly as a 1308cc, so cheap tax! When it arrived it was fully serviced: new battery, new spark plugs (ngk 9's all round), all the oils changed, filters changed & coolant changed. |

a mate of mine is rebuilding at the moment with figures of around 6.
nice looking car tho fella, have u tried posting it up on the fduk or mazda rotary club sites? |
That does look really nice, better looking than my mates one (don't tell him i said that!http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/n...icons/wink.gif
Not to sure on the Compression figures just know that at around 40k my mate had rebuild No1 (although that was due to overheating as Rad cooling fans that stopped working). Then at 50k came rebuild No.2 when summink went wrong with his reconditioned turbos and scored-up the Rotor housings, there was a rebuild No.3 at some point but i can't remember why that was all i know is his car did the rounds with the handful of Rotory Specialists out there all of which seemed to slag off the other saying the other didn't know enough about Rotorys. If there was a concise, decent enough manual on RX7 engine specs and rebuilds i might actually consider it myself... having said that 15mpg for a stock car!!! My car runs 1/4miles in the 12's and i'm pretty sure mpg isn't as bad as that, whats the fuel economy like on a modifed RX7!!?? |

You can actually get a very good manual & video on rebuilding rotorys but i wouldnt even think about trying it. |
