There are no oxygen or temperature sensors in the exhaust, they are in the CAT pipes.

Yes that is the second cat, can;t help with std exhaust price, but i suspect it wont be cheap, and you will be replacing it after 3 to 5 years, why not get an XS power SS one from Ebay, cheaper and will help power a bit, a bit noisier too if you don't mind that, they look ten times better, and weigh less.

Isn't the section from the cat back 1 piece?
I junked mine and it was fine, I had no garage to dump it in. |

Eh? I've removed and seen these exhausts off cars that are about 10years old, and they are still fully serviceable. The stock system is stainless steel, so will last for many years, I suspect a site longer than XS power junk.
Cossack - If you want only that section i'd put a wanted add up as usually people have stock systems sitting around and can't shift them because nobody is interested in them.

I didn't realise that the std exhaust was SS, quite unusual if its all SS, i was referring to most std mild steel exhausts,
have you used an XS power exhaust? i find that they are actually quite good! but obviously sub standard like the rest of my comments and attempts to help! I'll get my coat! |

On a MKIV? Quote:
However i'm willing to be proven wrong, so can you tell me where I can find more information about their exhaust system. How do you think is it is quite good? Quote:
You made a comment about the stock system needing replacing in 3 to 5 years which from experience is just not true and I questioned your basis for this statement. What's the issue?

thanks for all the info again guys, the reason i ask about the std mid section is that my std mid section looks in very good order but ive only seen a blitz nurspec back box listed for the na, ive seen on full systems listed for the na, so im taking it that people with full nurspec systems on their na's are using tt ones! am i right? just want to put the right thing on the car so if i had to go for just the backbox id like a good mid section just as backup also seen a hi power hks from cat back on hebay at good money, anyone know how they sound ???? sorry for all the questions lads, my heads cooked
ps my system is original - 14 years, never touched and still going strong
