Just to let everbody know when you phone Livingstones for a quote, it would be helpful to them if you have had another quote (different insurance company) as they will try and be as competitave as possible.

Indeed Emma, see if you can, my insurance is currently ?1050, so i would cancel my policy and switch if there was a better deal and an agreed value policy.

Wow, thats a pretty good price considering the benefits you would get with Livingstones.
I for one would rather pay an extra ?100 not to have to go through the *hit that i did with Admiral over the value of my car when that old git pulled out in front of me. Also the fact that they came in a considerable amount below Tesco's is significant i feel. Thanks for the feedback Stephen, its a good benchmark for people.

Be careful with Elephant.
Do a search for my post about Admiral (they are the parent company for Elephant)

Wow
I just got my quote back from Livingstone - ?590 for a modified j-spec. To say i'm pleased is an understatement. This is miles better than my previous best quote, and more like what I think I should be paying. I've had the car 3 years and have 8 years no claims and no speeding convictions. First year I payed ?900 (Elephant), second 870 (Adrian Flux) and my renewal this year was 850! I managed to get it down to ?750 by reducing the mileage to 6000. Elephant matched the ?750 quote, but they have without doubt the poorest customer service I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. I wouldn't go with them for free. Most other places, Norwich Union, Endsleigh, Footman James etc came in over 1K. Huge thanks for sorting the club insurance out, Emma. What a result
