i was suprised martin as i had heard many a same thing about the pins but touch wood no issues! are wedsport supposed to be any good?

Great work Jay. When CW blasted my calipers, he advised me to keep the pistons and seals in place to stop the grit from getting into the calipers.

yeah i thought this too but the fella at the powder coaters blasted one while i was there and said he would blast theem using the glass grit as it broke up before abrading the metal and hence only surface cleaned them ,he said he would bung the holes before they were blasted and then blow them through afterwards with chemical at some silly highht psi ... as he seemed to know what he was doing i thought id leave him too it ! we will see i guess.thanks for the kind words kev

I'm sure things will be fine. CW might have been using a different type of grit. Looking forward to seeing them painted up. Are you brush painting or spray painting them?

I got my calipers back from ,oxford industrial finishers today and set about the task of rebuilding them back up to take over to steve at silverstone age so that he could fit them back onto my car! the fella at the powder coaters Colin munday done an absolutely fantastic job from the masking,bead blasting,acid etching and cleaning them out afterwards.all threads were cleaned out and they look brand new there isnt a spot of dust in the powder finish either ! here are a few picstures of the re-assembly i found the worst part was trying to wrestle the piston rubber retaining ring when it keeps popping off ,a bit of patience and a few swear words and it was all done though ! hope the pics are usefull
