Hi all,
my mate wants to swap cars with me, is it worth it? He owns a black 02 E7 GSR for sale 29k on the clock, uprated springs, New Black Diamond Grooved discs and EBC Pads (that new they're not on the car yet LOL), Brand new Exedy Stage 2 Race clutch with a Fedanza/Alcon Flywheel (both fitted 300 miles ago by Ears motorsport in Manchester), all the usual E7 stuff, VolkRacing Forged lightweight 17" wheels, soon to have New boots on her, Full decat exhaust, Induction kit, Greddy turbo timer, HKS SSQV BOV, Top secret Short shifter, dawes device, boost gauge. Not sure what to do, i still love the Supra but don't want to miss out on swapping for a more expensive car, or will the price go down quicker than my Supra in a year or so? mmmm what you all think? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v307/Stealth69/9.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v307/Stealth69/10.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v307/Stealth69/6.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v307/Stealth69/7.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v307/Stealth69/1.jpg Paul

No offence to your m8 but sorry no contest for me, and guess if its anything like the mitsy i owned it'll drop like a rock, luckily i got out of mine before it jumped off its resale value cliff.
Didnt think the build quality was anywhere near my supras either. Thought mitsy parts prices were fun too, gen fog lamp ?200+ dunk

Having gone from a Mitsi to a Toyota I'd say that the Toyota is much better put together.
I remember sitting in the Mitsi showroom waiting for them to finish the servicing on my car and whilst sitting there for an hour 2 EVOs came in on the back on transporters. Both with electrical problems. They were EVO6's though. So maybe they've improved the build quality. I love the idea of the EVO. It's just that it looks like a 4-door family saloon with a bodykit on. I have the same problem with Scoobies. I love the idea, but they look like a shed on wheels.

Just compare pictures of the 2 side by side. That should be plenty to persuade you.

Call me biased but.......stick with your Supra no question.
I suppose you have to ask yourself which car you really want at the end of the day. IMHO monetry issues tend to cloud the mind. Good luck with whatever you choose to do

like i was sayin to you the other day mate, find out how much you could sell the Evo for. If it's worth doing it and selling it, could look at a later model modded Supra? would probably strip a few mods off your supra though, e.g. the wheels and sell separately.
i've not thought about prices and i've no idea how much an 02 Evo 7 goes for, but look into it the other thing to think of is why does he want to swap

Thanks for the replys folks, well from the sounds of things the Evo 7s wern't the most favoured of the Evo's, it would have to be pretty special to make me swap so i think i'll tell him to hop it lol
I do like the look of them, but i'm glad some people on here have had experience with them, best sticking with the Supra - The best
