Default I need a garage asap!!!

I have just been out for a long drive today in the supe, and have now found in horror that it has been p*ssing oil everywhere underneath. I think it may be the sump gasket as the oil seems to be pretty well spread in that area.

Not being a mechanic, I'm going to have to take it to a garage to have it sorted, so does anybody know of a decent tuner in the York area? I'm supposed to be taking it to the nurburgring in less than a month, so it's fairly urgent.

I'm not overly keen on handing it to the local toyota dealer as the car has been bpu'd inc an e manage unit, so i'm not sure if i'd trust any diagnosis they might give.

Any ideas Guys?

It won't be the sump gasket as it doesn't have one, it uses Form In Place Gasket (FIPG), liquid gasket to you and me

It sounds very much like a front crank oil seal if your sump has been pretty much covered, but obviously needs investigating.

I think York is a bit of a black hole for recognised Supra tuners, you'd probably have to weigh up the options of going either to Chris Wilson, Hypersports & Racing or Envy Performance (it they're still around).

Not sure on distances for you on those guys.

Thanks Martin, that does seem like a very likely reason as my bro had a similar problem with his car (a pug 206 )

Thing is his car was only 3/12 when this happened, and mines 12 years old!

(says alot about peugeot doesn't it!)

If it is the crank seal, it will drip on to the undertray & most likely spread up the exhaust - worth checking. I had mine done a couple of years ago.

My undertray has been mostly removed do to the size of my front mount (excuse the expression guys!), but it seems to be coming from the oil pressure switch, shes going to toyota on wed to be repaired.

I'm carrying out a full service this weekend, fitting tein coilovers, new brake discs and pads, painting my calipers etc. can't wait

Bring on the Nuerburgring in just over 2 weeks!
