I bet that is a real weight of your mind, but as you say even more so a great feeling knowing you have completed all the work yourself.

Thanks mate.

I think the key has been to avoid getting stressed over getting it back on the road. This week has been different though. I have way of getting to the race on Saturday without my car so it's begun to get quite stressful to make sure that the car is completed so that I can go.

I checked all the levels tonight. Engine oil was fine, coolant a little down in the reservoir (which I topped up) and the auto fluid was still at the HOT level. I decided I couldn't just ignore that and jacked the car up and drained enough to take it back down to COLD. I'll check again in the morning as I checked tonight with the car jacked up and that might have affected the reading. It's a whole lot easier to top-up than drain.

Also replace the big terminal (can't remember which one that it, positive or negative) on the battery as mine was broken. I've now got a nice new terminal which cannot fall off and also a new plastic terminal cover as well. Lovely.
