That's exactly the same as I found when I was looking into the t-shirts. The actual cost of the t-shirt and printing was quite small. But the set-up costs were quite high.
Well done for looking into it though.

Firstly a big thanks for all of your time and effort, it's very much appreciated. Perhaps the biggest problem is not the setting up costs as much as the setting up cost set against the amount of members who order clothing, if the take up is high it's worth the outlay IMHO.
Club clothing is high on the list here at MSOC, so please don't feel your time has been wasted, it's all valuable information. Fruit of the loom clothing is always worth that bit extra IMHO, nothing worse than walking round in shabby club clothing

supradude, could you find out what format the design would be put into once digitised..ie: .dwg, .jpeg etc.
reason being, a friend of mine is a sign writer, he uses some CADCAM programs for inputting pictures etc into the computer and then plotting them out. it may be the same format as the clothing sticher uses. if so i can call a favour and ask him to prep the art work, then we can email it over to the sticher as and when. worth a try...! |

Supradude, was there a minimum order on the clothing at all?
This is something we have also come across in the past as well. The club could pay for the setup, but we need to know that the variety and quality of clothing is OK for the majority. Keep us in touch with how you get on.

Just a thought , can't we get club members to commit to the purchase, gauge the response and add say a £1.00 to each order, as long as we get 50 orders we cover the cost of the design work?
I know the downside to this is we don't see the product till its finished but as far as I'm concerned I'm prepared to take the gamble .

id be prepared to take the gamble on the quality. and would be happy allowing the club to make a small profit on the clothing which can then be put back into the club..

No there was no minimum order,
once the design has been done then we can do as many or as little as we want, they would also keep it so if in the future we wanted more then thats no problem.. yea i can try and find out what format they do it in.. Well lets put up a list of whos interested in clothing and see if it would be worthwhile doing.. 1:- Supradude- 2 Polo shirts and 2 Fleece tops. 2: 3: 4:
