Question. do i need toresetting the ecu

hi there,
quick question, im having my kakamoto cat back exhaust fitted tomorrow. will i need to reset the ecu after fitting it?

if so, how is it done?

Not sure if it needs to be done but here's some instructions for doing it: -

is that with the engine running or not?

I'm pretty sure that's with the engine not running. Pull it with the engine running and I'll bet money that the engine soon stops.

don't think you need to, but it won't hurt to reset it.

Under what conditions would you want to reset it?

Where you change something on the car and you want the ECU to relearn all the timing and other engine parameters quicker than if it was left to do it in its own time. ie. putting in Optimax when you have been running normal unleaded,
