Not wishing to p on your fire so to speak but anywhere that cant describe a car correctly would worry me somewhat !!
As said already, wheres the Full Trd kit ? If you go any further with potentially buying this then make them a daft offer as i dont see how its worth anything like £8995

I've just spoken to the dealer and decided that I wont be going to see this car.
It is a 2000 registered car, on an X plate. He thought it had been importing 2 or 3 years ago, but didn't really know. It's had 2 UK owners and the exact mileage is 32,000. There's no Jap history, no auction sheet and no idea what auction grade it was. The gap under the stereo is still there, there's a single din unit in there and a dirty great gap underneath. (How can you sell a car with parts of the dashboard missing?) He had no idea whether it had been undersealed, how the speed convertion/delimiting had been done. In short he really didn't know much about the car other than to tell me that it was "a very clean car". It's not worth the long journey to see a car that has little history so I'm skipping this one. |

You never know these things untill you ask, at least you have satisfied yourself, put this one to bed and can now move on.

I was driven around in an NA at the weekend for the first time. After everything that I'd heard about NAs I had expected it to be slow but if I'm being honest it felt pretty quick to me. OK, it doesn't have the urgency of the TT, but it's far from a slow car.

Ive only driven the na aerotop and thought it was ok as far as power was concerned, it'll never be as quick as a tt but still pretty good and no turbo's to worry about

A possible candidate
A possible candidate came up last night. Jurgen phoned to say that a car was going through the auction last night/this morning which was pretty close to my spec.
Check this out: After a long discussion with Jurgen I decided not to go ahead with it though. The issues were:
It would have been able to have been purchase for a grand under budget but would have cost that and more to fit the skirts/spats and sort the wheels out. So on balance I decided not to get Jurgen to bid for it.

hope the ideals around the corner for you....as for the NA being quick.... i agree my black one was a great car and i could drive it in the rain without tooooo much worrying of death ,unlike the TT today in this horrendous weather, good luck

My main concern was the mileage and the auction grade.
I'm not against getting a car with no OEM skirts and spats, it's just that I had always wanted them. The look of the car without them is growing on me.... Give it a couple of days and maybe I'll tell Jurgen that I can live without them.
