The Apexi that you have is one of the best aftermarket filters for filtration, but filtration tends to come at the cost of flow.

Like a lot of things in this world, you don't get something for nothing so filters that flow better tend to sacrifice filtration.

Why are you changing it?

Would an arc box be something to be considered then.

Cass I've changed from a mushroom to the apexi. I've noticed a hell of a differance ( for the better, I might add). I think your making the wrong decision but as they say the choice is yours.

Make sure you read this before making any decisions:

The best option is really the stock air filter box assembly as it doesn't pose much of a restriction at BPU levels or even slightly above that. It keeps the air cold and it has good filtration.

How many people have you heard spend a few hundred £'s on their car and turnaround and say, yeah that was worth the money.
