My car came with the sub built in, and my boot carpet was quite a bit thicker than the floor carpet, not sure whether that helps you out at all Mark, but thought I would let you know
The previous owner had installed a different amp, but the section on the LHS of the boot was cut out similar to Martin's, though I don't recall if the top wheel cover was missing the corner.

not really Kev no.
It's the feel of it my original has the same as whats on the back of the rear seats, quite soft like a new carpet where as the one out of the N/A feels cheaper. If my phone is up to it tomorrow I'll lay them both out for comparison. |

Ok first two are out of my GZ with sub hole and second two are out of the N/A with no sub hole.
GZ N/A See the difference. Which one is yours like Martin? GZ feels like a soft cat, N/A feels closer to seegrass carpet. I'm trying to find out whether the coarse version was just for the N/A or the fabric used for the non sub hole carpet regardless.

Pretty sure mine is like your GZ ones.
Do you have two cars now?

No I still only have the one. I bought the other carpet off .net with the intention of removing the stupid Sub.
It's a shame as I prefer the texture of my original carpet, but I really want to junk the sub. Why doesn't the EPC list versions of carpet? |

I was just letting you know that there might be a third option. I'll take my thoughts elsewhere

Unfortunately I've since thrown the carpet away and I appreciate it's not the best picture in the world. The pile was quite course to touch pretty thick, making it a nightmare to vacuum dirt off it. The sound deadening on the rear was pretty thick also. Here's a picture:
