I think you need a non road car at Nutts Corner now. Need a roll cage at least I think.

Something to do with complaints of tyre noise with a new neighbour thats moved in and they had to ban road cars.

What about the Bishopscourt track days that are officially organised?

As far as i know Road cars are allowed at nutts corner, ive hired the track a few times and weve always run road cars, they say they prefer cars to have a roll cage, but ive never had one in any car ive been down in. Would be worth finding out!!

Hi,
I have just phoned Antrim Borough Council and was told that all cars must have roll cages, fire extinguishers and not be loader than 100db. I think this knocks Nutts corner on the head !

Vote 1 - always wanted to do the track day down there as its much better bigger than nutts corner. Almost a proper circuit.

They have a website somewhere... anyone know the dates, times, costs etc.

Anyone know who owned the Jap red Supra @ Bishopscourt on Sunday night?

Rumor of an August outing at Kirkistown, Track days charge about ?70 I am told, which gets rid of the corsa's etc, and your opposition can be Ferrari (surprisingly slow) mercs porsche, usual gutless pigs with fancy badges and fruits driving them lol.........

Hi All,
I was doing a bit of investigating today and there is a "GTI Club" trackday on in Kirkistown on this Saturday (July 10th). It costs ?50 for the day. Arrive at 10 am with racing starting at 11am. You can get some more details at www.reallymeansounds.com.

I phoned Kirkistown today and they said that you need a roll cage to hire the track privately from them. There is apparently different insurance for the track days so cages are not needed. I called Antrim Borough Council again to see if there were any track days there and the girl said Noooooooo..... you have to have a roll cage for Nutts.

I am not sure if I can make it this Saturady - babysitting .... but I think there may be another day in August.

Cheers
Pat

Short notice I'd go if i could but unlikely I'll make it, i'll wait of for the next one, and keep in touch with the "2 Simons" for the CLUB GTI event in August. I think I went to one last aug or sept, grand day out it was, but very cold. Portaferry Arms hotel does fine grub. Look forward to it!
