I'm suprised you're over boosting if you have one cat in still. How much over are you going?

You can pretty much choose any boost controller you like, they all work by controlling overal boost by fitting onto the wastegate of turbo 2. I have a personal preference for blitz units, but others are just as capable.

will have to have a chat martin as some people are saying i should put in a restrictor ring
but surley then it will only boost to 1.3 bar thats it?
and the spool up time will be slower?
if i put the ring in then i won't need a controller as it will stop the over boost?

as for what pressure i'm gettin i'm reaching about 16.5 psi on my gauge in cold weather (then cuttin fuel) in hot weather its fine

Boost controllers only increase boost

if you are overboosting it wont help
The idea is that you put in a restrictor then turn the boost up

I have the blitz boost controller I thought it was very easy to set up and adjust

i know this sounds stupid but if you put the restrictor in how can you get more boost? than 1.3?

As I mentioned above i'm suprised you are seeing overboost with one cat in still which makes me wonder if there is an issue with your wastegate.

Going back to theory, if you were to fit a restrictor ring and fix your maximum boost at say 14psi, then by fitting a boost controller you can hold the wastegate closed for longer which will allow boost to build higher.

It could be something as simple as a split hose leading to it.
