So do you think this is why Titanmotorsports include another stock fuel pump in with there fuel system, so instead of twin Walbro's you get 2 oem ones which are better? Think i will go mental with the kit if i decide to go single, even if it costs more than planned, i'll just collect bits as i go over the year and put it all on next winter
Paul

OK, leaving which is the best pump behind as Paul can use the Search button for more info on pumps.
And back on thread: Do you really need two pumps when going single ?

Nope, by going on research some people have 2, some have 1. Think it depends on how far you want to go, maybe T88, 1000cc injectors etc you might want to go dual pumps, but how unreliable do cars get after 720 injectors, idle wise etc?

You need to look at the current drawn by 1 pump and then make sure you have cabling good enough for 2. I believe the stock wiring isn't up to the demands of 2 UK pumps but can handle 2x walbro's as the walbros draw less current for the same/similar flow.
So factor in a wiring upgrade in that area if you want to run 2. However just a note of caution having 2 pumps and needing both pumps can have disatrous results if 1 pump fails and you don't know. ie you'd run lean. A T67 with 720's will run on a single UK or a single walbro. And you can rig either pump to run more volts than standard...

By the sounds of things the best package seems to be a smaller turbo producing 450-500 at the hubs, this with RLTC etc should give a good street car here in the UK.
The US guys only drag race and street race, but have you seen there dry, big wide long roads? Nothing like the UK. Think maybe a T78 is too much for what i need, think a quick spooling single is the best bet. Just need more info, i'd hate to get rid of the 380 at the hubs i have now, spend loads on a single etc then have a unreliable car.... Paul

If you go with a 61-63 size turbo as Alex rightly suggests for a killer road car, then you could get away with a single pump, but even then, not at high boost.
The only way to serve a high-HP car on a single pump is an external one like the Weldon, which is noisy (and not in a nice way). Paul, I agree with you on waiting longer and collecting parts for it. But going mental is not simply in regards to turbo sizes etc, but on the engine as well. Work on the valvetrain and you can get yourself a much larger powerband, allowing for a bigger turbo if wanted. You'll really end up with a beast then

Steve Jarvis over in America runs a SP63 on stock fuel, maf and uses a Apexi ITC for ignition and an SAFC for fuel, he makes 541rwhp so around 480 at the hubs.....doesn't seem much increase but i would think on the road it would be much better.
What do you think, i have the full spec from his car if you wish to view? Paul

Sure, post it. Sounds like a good basic setup.
