Your right which i find strange, the 16's are 50 front and back but the 17's are 45 and 40.

good question, well presented, what are you saying? Shouldn't you use 225 on a 9" wheel? I've had no problems.

Well by Toyota fitting a 225 at the front and a 245 at the back they are obviously biasing more grip to the rear and no doubt the rest of the chassis has been engineered towards this.

By fitting 225's all round you are reducing the contact patch of the rear wheels so in simplistic terms you are reducing the amount of grip at the rear, not something i'd want to do in our cars.

You haven't experienced a problem but if you were driving on the limit all the time you'd defenitely notice a difference.

Ah, fair enough. I just didn't think 20 would make all that much difference with the power on NA's being fairly low in comparison to the tt's.

Anyway, any luck with the 245's Bazza ?
