Some more welcome news from Livingstone. Raised annual mileage by 2000 miles and still the same quote. ?

Its good to see you guys getting good deals through Livingstone.

As you probably know its hard to setup a club insurance scheme and we seem to be building a good relationship with Livingstones that is beneficial to them and us.

This can only be a good thing for the club and you guys !

RESULT!

Well, as some of you know I'm looking into a new Supra...well when I find the car for me (which I think I have) I'm going SINGLE
I've had a quote from them for this potential car...
1993 L Reg J-spec TT manual.
Drivers Age = 25
I stressed that I've had 3yrs of experience driving RWD high performance cars. And that I've owned a Supra before.
Only doing 5,000 per year - might have to up it to 7,500 but it shouldn't be more than that.
Cat2 or better Alarm/Immobiliser.
Garaged
Bodykitted (nose and skirts)
Single Turbo and all periperals required to run it (FMIC/Fuel Kit) But I was very unspecific...which they didn't mind.
The Brakes are UK spec so were not included
The suspension erm I forgot to mention...oops (Tein something or others)

They said it could NOT be an AGREED VALUE - this to me means the car is legally insured but they won't gurentee to pay out enough to cover what I put into it. Which is fair enough.

Without the single kit but with everything else - ?875 (?500 excess)
WITH the single kit and existing body mods - ?1045 (?500 excess)

So for a ?150 raise in my premium I'm totally legal and totally SINGLE!
Anyone over 25 with the money to pay for the kit is a fool for not going this route! Insurance just isn't an issue.

Didn't bother going elsewhere as I had so many mods...most pass out when you mention different turbos
I thought it was a reasonable deal so I went for it...but when it comes to a new quote next year...I'll look harder

They were not able to offer me a quote at all.

I'm 30 with 2 yrs NCB and have had my licence for 11yrs, what let me down was lack of experience in performance cars. I currently have a Civic VTi which I have owned for 18 months, but more importantly have been riding 1000cc sportsbikes for 5yrs so am fully used to high performance vehicles

Guess I'll have to stick with Elephant at approx ?700 comp

Livingstones unfortunately unable to give a competative quote due to level of modification!

Good quote from Adrian Flux (with all mods declared and replaced, in the event of a claim, on a like for like basis) of ?910.

One company that "wanted to quote me happy" was so unhelpful that I suggested that we give up half way through the quote.
