Unhappy

Hi would anyone have any clues to why i'm getting a hesitation when i'm accelerating?

What it's doing is flying in first then when it goes into second it's kind of fluffing or just kind of holding back a bit through the rest of the gears.

It's a Mk4 Auto Twin turbo on a 93 all standard.

Any clues would be appreciated

In that case i would have the speedo converter checked out. A lot of systems in the MKIV depend on the speed signal and when the average importer converts the car to MPH they just slap in a converter not realising the consequences.

Do a search on here for speedo and you should find some more info.

Other than that i'd be starting by checking the autobox oil

Cheers for the help but I think I have nailed the problem down to putting a tank full of unleaded on my first fill!!.

Just got the car and didn't think it would make that much difference. Running on the right stuff now and she fly,s.

Cheers.

Now to get that limiter off!!!
