Default Annoying Noise

Whilst driving to JTS I noticed an annoying noise. I tracked it down to the arm rest in the centre console and it turns out to be the little black plastic opener (see picture below).
Would anyone be kind enough to try moving theirs for me and letting me know how much free movement there is before it actually opens the console.
I've taken it apart today but there's no way of adjusing anything. The looseness of the part rattles and annoys me. I want to make sure it's not a common fault before I get a new one from Mr.T

No, it's the little handle that allows access into the centre console (behind the ashtray).

No not at all. It's the big black armrest/console behind the ashtray. I've just taken a picture of the stripped down part.

Sorry i can't help Kev as my memory is a bit faded and i cant recognise the part in its stripped down form

Just turn your radio up and the noise will go away

Cass, what are you on! Lol.

Yes Kev it does move about and can rattle, about a quarter of a centimeter in play before it starts to move the catch I've got 2 (not both in the car, of course) and they are both the same.

I'd suggest try and pad it with a bit of felt like the dash panels are if it is vibrating that much.
