Hi Guys, I am new to the world of Supras. After years throwing money at a Sapphire Cosworth to get it to 360 bhp, I was utterly destroyed by a Supra earlier this year and have been hankering after one ever since.

Having now sold the Cossie, and releasing some funds I have ?12k to spend on a Supra, preferably a manual. Can anyone tell me a good place to start looking.

TIA
CB

Hi and ?

Take a look in the for sale section, there are some nice Supra's in there at the moment, not sure if they are manual's though.

good luck in your search for a Supra

For 12k you should be looking for a 1996+ facelift Manual. Try Newera Imports for a fresh import...otherwise the Forsale section here or good ol' Autotrader.

Hmm no hard and fast rules on that one, however there is one colour which is not liked by the masses and can be hard to shift on if the needs be.

Its goes by the name of Bronze, Anthracite, Golden Brown or MSB.

Any of the other colours seem to be all down to personal taste, however silver seems to be very popular.

The darker colours seem to be the best when selling on, I would have said Black, Quicksilver, Storm Blue, Silver, Red, White.

Royal Sapphire Purple is a very nice colour and quite desirable (see Rico's gallery for pics)

IMO If you are going to tune the Supra, keep in mind that UK cars have steel turbos that are reliable @ BPU (UK often give 420 to 450bhp @ 1.1bar) and have bigger injectors, better cams, better fuel pump to name but a few things. Guessing that you want solid performance with reliability, a BPU UK car would be the easy way. If you can get a decent import vvti for that money and can settle with a modest power increase, (standard about 340bhp? correct me if need be) running almost standard boost then that would be a good option. With good servicing repairs should be a rare thing. Good luck I hope your Supra dreams come true!.
