Default How to wire in my defi Boost gauge.

A call for help to anyone who has wired in a defi boost gauge with the link control.
I want to know where the best place to wire to is.
In particular I am struggling to find what wire(colour) to use for the illumination wire. Was hoping to use the cig lighter wire but not sure which one it is.
Can anyone help out here.
Thanks Carl

As long as you know which colour wire it is on your Defi link control unit, and assuming you are fitting it to a MKIV, why not just follow one of the boost gauge installs in the 'How to....'' section.

I must have been typing in the wrong things. Kept trying anything with defi in but had to be less specific. Found the 'How to' guide on wiring in the boost gauge to the clock. That will help a treat.

Cheers for gentle pointing in right direction....

I used the power from the clock, as it have all four wires that are required

Try this:
Red (perminant +) = Red
Black (perminant -)= White/Black
Orange (ignition) = Blue/Red
White (illumination)= Green/Orange
