Question Painting reversing sensors

I need to paint some reversing sensors in preparation for fitting them to my Landcruiser. Can anyone offer any advice as to the best way to get them sprayed. I believe that I have everything that is required (i.e. the sensors and the paint). The sensors even come in a handy cardboard container which I'm guessing they can be painted in. Anyway, all advice greatfully received.

(Any bright ideas what the red foam is for...)

The rest of the photos of the kit are here.

Lightly spray across them and don't stop until you have cleared them to get even coverege and spray again when dry, same as any spray painting really.

Looks like you have everything there. As Gambit says, lightly does it.

Only thing i'd add is in this weather you may want to warm the sensors and the paint up a little. Things like this are best sprayed on warm days, but if you have a heater in the garage then get it running an hour before hand.

I'm actually going to get round to doing this over the bank holiday weekend.

Here's what I'm planning, feel free to chip in as to whether I've missed a step or doing something I shouldn't.

1/ Sand with very fine paper. The sensors are plastic and therefore I need to key first.
2/ Cleaning with meths
3/ Primer layer
4/ Base colour coat
5/ Clear coat

Can anyone give me some advice on how many coats of 3/, 4/ and 5/ I need to do?

3/ Just spray enough to cover. May be able to do in one coat.
4/ Again as long as the visible bit is covered all should be fine. May be able to do in one coat, but at worst 3 coats.
5/ You may only be able to do one coat of this, as sometimes you can't spray over the top of it if it has already cured and hardened, without re-keying. Try to keep this to one coat.

As these are only a small item it's not too necessary to get everything perfect as once fitted it will be hard to see any minor imperfections.

I know that may be a funny thought to you
