Hi all,
I have spent the past 12 months saving and have finally got enough for a Supra. I'm looking at getting a 6sp TT and was wondering if anyone here could recommend any good Jap importers? Also is it true that from the 1st April you will no longer be able to import VVTi Supras as they won't pass the new ESVA test Cheers Mark |

Hi & Welcome
Not sure whereabouts you are in the country but have a look at this http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/Links/Links.htm#Importers maybe one of them is not too far from you. There was a change to the ESVA on the 1st April but i'm not 100% sure of the details.

Thanks Martin,
I'll have a look at the links and see if any of them are near Southampton (where I am based). If anybody has used an importer I'd like to hear about how good they found them to be. Don't really want to part with ?17k and find that I am dealing with a shark. Cheers Mark |

Should have quite a bit of choice in Southampton, but as you say experiences are always helpful.

Not too far from Southampton, I'm on my 2nd Jap imported car, the 1st was a Scooby, NOW I have a 95 Supra TT, both cars were bought thru the same dealer and I would definately recomend talking to Neil @ Car Imports Direct in Bristol on 01179 662212. Only one word of warning, he uses another Bristol based company to do all his conversrion work (Speedo's etc) they are called 'Protech' be very careful with these guys they have a bad rep around this neck of the woods. Happy hunting, P.S. You should get a nice TT for the money your looking to spend. P.P.S. If Neil's got some cars on the way from Japan, it's well worth waiting, as mine is immaculate. Big Al. |
