Smile Wheel bearing

Hi

Ive got a grinding noise from the n/s/r of my supra i suspect its the wheel bearing has any one changed one? how bad of a job is it to do?

Im a HGV mechanic so have access kit but was woundering if it was worth taking to a garage to avoid the hassle?

I've not done a wheel bearing yet so cant help but guess if youve got the right tools how hard can it be ?

Possibly getting the old bearings out will be the hard part !!

Same bearing went on my '95 NA. My mate did the work for me, was pretty straight forward but on further inspection saw the bearing had collapsed and damaged the hub. so a trip to see Ibrar for a second hand hub and all was well again!

Mines just collapsed. N/S/R too. out of all of them though that one gets the most abuse to be fair!

ALWAYS seems to be NSR for some reason.

Iv had mine go, and noted that if they go, its usually the nsr in 99% of cases, no idea why.

Co-incidence that Toyota changed the rear wheel bearing design between construction and present day?

Take it to Toyota/a Supra expert to press the old bearing out and the new one in, it requires a large press!
