Fighting Torque 2009
http://fightingtorque.org/fast/index...103&Itemid=167
Fighting Torque 2009 will be fought out on the 2 mile runway of Woodbridge Airfield. Taking the simple form of a 2 lane Drag Race over a ONE MILE distance. The Fighting Torque event is aimed at "Special" Standard or Modified road going cars. Fighting Torque is only open to road legal, taxed, tested and insured road vehicles. The last two Fighting Torque events has seen the spectacle of speeds nudging 200mph. Lamborghini LP640s going head to head. Porsches, Nobles, Ultimas,TVR's in abundance. Plus the new everyday performance cars from the likes of Audi, BMW, Jaguar. Vauxhall and even Fiat. Even mildly tuned some of these cars are producing near supercar performance. Fighting Torque also gives tuners the chance to dispaly their handywork in an uncompromising environment. In a departure from previous years there will be a much simpler Booking Procedure. Entries are "open" with no applications for places to be made. However we will still reserve the right to return entries that do not fit in with the spirit of this remarkable event. The Fighting Torque event is aimed at "Special" Standard or Modified road going cars. Fighting Torque is only open to road legal, taxed, tested and insured road vehicles. The fitment and use of aids to performance relating to speed or braking that would not be considered sensible for use on the public highway are not allowed. These include Nitrous Oxide, Parachutes, Jet Engines. The organisers will adopt a "common sense" approach to any anomolies. However it must be understand that their decision will be final. i could be tempted given i havent doen much to mine and its just up the road.

Hmm.
i'll be well in the bottom few i think, given the power/weight of most of the other cars. TVRs', Porsches, Holdens/VXR's. Wont be going there to win, but nice to see how it fairs, and for a good day out. £99 though.
