ALLWAYS , get good gauges straight away , first mods . They will save you one day . Gauges to start with are boost and EGT . If your into a bit of track work , water , and oil temps are next , and when you do any fuel system mods , go with the fuel pressure . Oil pressure is a go too , but its probably least important .

An on the side possibility.....

Whilst at a retail park in Liverpool this week, I saw a late Jap spec Supe. The original Toyota alloys had been refurbed in chrome. I was able to chat with the owner for a while and I have to say they looked excellent in chrome. The guy paid ?55 per wheel to have them coated and that included refurbing the metal outer rim on a machine. A cheep solution while you save up for other mods, then when your done, you would easily be able to sell them cos' they look so good. You might even want to keep them, I was really impressed. I think the standard design of the stock spokes with the bright chrome is a really aesthetic compromise.

I have the name and details of the place where he had this done (if anyone's interested), I'm sure there are other places all over the country that can do it just as good for the same price.
