Hi All
put this on 'other' BBS, but i know mr martin knows his electrics so thought i'd have a try over here too! just got my car back from envy with the TRD wide kit being fitted, etc, - it was with dude for ages before that and he stripped out the interior. When i got the car back the central locking worked, when you armed the alarm, it locked - fine. But next day the alarm still arms but doesnt lock the doors. So i need to use the key and do it manually. I initially thought this might be an alarm problem, BUT when you lock one of the doors manually with key, the other doesnt lock. So im thinking it could be a central locking problem. Like i said the interior has been stripped and re fitted, so it could be just that something has come loose. Anyone know of any way to check? or should i get a garage to do it? The alarms a scorpion cat one if that helps, (but like i said i suspect its not an alarm issue). oh, and while i remember, you dont have a spare hour some time this weekend do you martin? its my last weekend before the move to redhill, so i'm free to pop over if its good for you??? sat or sunday, anytime that suits... PM or email me if you get a sec. |

no worries martin, it can wait. Traction is much improved with those nice wide wheels on the back anyway.
im with jooleo though, whats the handle assembly??? Do you think it could just be something loose behind the door pannel? Or a fuse maybe??? Its strange that its locking and unlocking thats effected, because i think theyre on different fuses... my moneys on a loose plug - especially with the hap hazard way the interior was taken out/put in with the whole dude dissapearence... gonna take a looksy myself at weekend, then got her booked in a local garage monday if i cant spot the problem, its at envy on tuesday anyway so if all else fails im sure kev n the crew will be able to figure it out! |

If you take the interior panel off and have a look at the back of the handle there is quite a bit to it, hence 'handle assembly'. There are lots of switches and of course solenoid for the central locking, in your situation i'd be pretty confident one of these is not plugged in properly.
Al, will reply to your email soon as.
