I popped to see a company that Barney recommended (thanks).
They are going to blast the cover back to metal and powder coat it gloss black for £45 which I thought was very reasonable. Only down side is that it'll take up to two weeks.

Damn good price that Kev, considering how big the part is you'd be hard pushed to do it much cheaper using spray cans, worth the time it will take them imho.

To be honest, the pictures make it look better than it actually is, as there are a few pits where the rust started to eat away at the metal, but overall I'm really pleased.

I've fitted it already but I can't take any pictures yet as it's in the garage. I'll take some when I move it out (after it's off the jacks)
I should point out that the last picture was after I tried removing some of the rust with a wire brush. Thanks for the nice comments guys
