Hi chaps,
Would anyone of you have a JSpec Supra insured with Livingstones? If so, I was wondering what excess you settled on. I've just been quoted a decent price on a fully comp/agreed value policy...but the excess is £500 which is a big hit in the wallet should the worst happen. Cheers Simon

£500 hit in the pocket is nothing compared to the cr@p feeling you'll have in you gut if you do have a crash.
Solution = Don't crash! Not very helpful I guess. I'm not with the club insurer at the moment but the agreed value is very tempting, as a lot of insurers will rip you off if the worst comes to the worst. I suppose you have to think about how often you claim.... |

I agree Gambit that paying £500 for peace of mind in the event of a total write-off is definitely value for money if you look at it purely from that point of view.
However, forking out the first £500 for damage caused by any idiot who take a fancy to keying/defacing/bricking my Supra takes the shine off it a little. Thankfully I've never had to make a claim on my insurance (*touches wood*), I've only had one incident where a little scrote threw a coin at my car as I was driving past but luckily (for me and the scrote) there was no damage to the car. My pet peeve about owning the Supra is the paranoia it gives you when you leave it anywhere out of sight lol.

Yes I know that paranoia well and I'd imagine everyone else on here does to.
