Default I'm back

Well at last, I got my hands on another Supra. It will need a lot of tidying up, but that's generally the idea (isn't it !).

Here's a Picture,.......

Nice.

What's that on the front bumper - a rubbing strip?

Thanks all, Mike - yes, it is a rubbing strip - and yes it looks crap.

My immediate reaction was to rip them both off but I don't want to make a bigger mess just yet - as they may have been stuck on to cover earlier damage. I'll get it sorted as soon as I can.

Kev - what do you mean "Close", close to what? - I might sell it to a rapper - that one called 50p !

Adam and I spend four hours cleaning it for a start, and it looked much better for it.

It's a 93 J-spec NA auto, exactly the same as the last one - but this one has got a roof!

It was bought locally, so I didn't have to travel too far. It's was also taxed till the end of March, and MOT'd till Mid December 09. I still have my cherished car policy on the last Supra, so all I need for this summer is six months tax - and I'm off !

It's got a lot of marks and stone chips on the paint, but I'll get around to that after I've had some fun this summer - its been 8 months since my accident where I lost the last one.

Although it's done a lot of miles (137k) - It has been converted and delimited, and comes with loads of paperwork and receipts (someone has spent a lot of money on it) I get the impression that the odo now reads miles on top of what was recorded in km's. This would mean its done a lot less that the clock suggests. It certainly seems that way anyhow - its got a Powerflow cat-back exhaust that sounds good, and runs really well.

It seems a bit strange driving it at the moment, a bit like Deja Vu !

Biggest problem now is Adam - he's got a permanent silly smile, and thinks he's going to inherit it when he's 17 !

I like Adam's style.

Seems like a lovely car. There are some bargins to be had at the moment.

I was referring the the number 3 and replacing it with a vowel

Congratulations Martin.

LOL, about the plate, but I guess it may have a value all of it's own. Lets hope it brings you as much joy as your last one.
