I take it it was empty (i.e. sans you). I had my Honda weighed on a weighbridge once & it was accurate - it was calibrated regularly for C&E purposes (beer tankers). I was surprised how heavy it was, much more than the book weight. I guess a full tank of fuel can pile on the kilos, then there's oil, water etc..

ok for some standard car times
from the Supra portfolio book Car and driver got 11.1sec another USA mag got 12.09sec fast lane got 12.6sec yet another USA mag 11.7sec I conclude that the Car and driver guys have the best launch technique. So, almost doubling a Supra's output, thats got to be worth 2 seconds?.

TBH Chief, I think this question is a case of 'build it & see'. I've noticed that the bhp/ton & torque often bear little relation to a car's acceleration time. Just look at the specs in the back of Evo mag, many a time have i been surprised at how slow (or not as fast) a particular car is relative to it's spec.

An aston martin vantage 600 does 0-100 in 9.3secs.
It weighs 1970kg and surprisingly enough has 600bhp and 600lb/ft. Merc SLR McLaren does 0-100 in 7.6secs. It weighs 1693kg and has 617bhp and 575lb/ft With the supra weighing 1549kg(when standard) and kickin out 600bhp surely it must easily be in the 8sec range to 100.
