No Rev Limiter
I was just wanting to know what RPM the rev limiter cuts in at, i dont think i have one, if there was a fuel c defender on the car would that do away with limiter, or would a Mines ecu do it????
And on the topic of Mines ecu, I have been told they cant be mapped, is this true??? and if so whats the point of fitting one??? And what sort of settings would it have??? |

IIRC the stock rev limiter is at 6500rpm.
The fact that you have a Mines ECU means your rev limiter could very well have been raised or removed. Also as you suspect one of the functions of Mines ECU is to remove the fuel cut The Mines ECU can not be mapped in this country, only in Japan and i believe even then it's not really a full map that can be created, only certain paramters that can be changed, ie. rev limit, fuel cut point etc.

Yep you could be right, as I was at work at the time and relying on my ageing memory.
I have a feeling redline is at 6800rpm and as you say rev limit is at 7100rpm, but i'm struggling to find the appropriate document.

As far as I can remember my car changes gear at about the 7,100 mark. I've never revved hard in manual mode so I have no idea what the limit is though. When I go WOT I let the autobox do all the changing and I don't pay alot of attention to the rev counter.
It's still a lot less revs than my old FTO used to manage. That would happily rev to over 9000. (Whilst failing to go very fast as well )

I doubt it helps that the only Mine's website I can find is in Japanese only. Over here most people go for Power FC, Emanage or FConProV.
