steering wheel rear hatch dampers
Hi all, I very sadly have to part with my GZ TT and whilst in great condition i just wanted to update few things for the sale. The steering wheel has gone a greeny colour and looks as tho its worn, toyota can supply but its very expensive, has any one had their steering wheel recovered or know of an alternative,, i want to keep the air bag tho.
the rear hatch dampers, with the hatch being quite heavy and open, a gust of wind(not always a gust) or on a slight incline- will close the boot, not good if your leaning into it!!, toyota cannont supply new, are there any replacements from another toyota or car. many thanks in antisipation, Steve |

I have seen recovered steering wheels and they look fine. Any local upholsterer should be able to help.
I can't help on the hatch dampers and a bit suprised to hear that they are discontinued.

thx for reply martin, i think upholstered may be cheaper than the £641 asking price of the s/wheel. im surprised also at the dampers, the guys on parts at my local Bournemouth Toyota dealer are very good, so i have taken there word on that, will investigate further myself tho,

My wheel has some slight wear marks on it... £641
I like my wear marks, they give it character! |
