Cool Great Setup

Hey Guys,

Nice to meet you all today and just a quick post to say what a great setup you guys have.

Was really impressed with the dyno as well, very close to an engine dyno, loved the way you could program it to ramp up at a given rate etc.

I think I have a dodgy coil pack or connector as on the way home the miss fire, ignition break up became more of an issue, so much in fact that I pulled into south mimms services and changed all six plugs to new BKR8EIX, not a great job in the dark and cold but hey.

Anyways it didnt fix the issue, I will spend some more time on Thurs looking at it.

Always nice to hear a member happy with one of the clubs traders.

Hope you sort your misfire out Wez, changing plugs at the services in this weather doesn't sound like fun to me.

Not mine either, luckily the BP price sign gave me enough light to get it done.

We think its either a coil pack connectors or coil packs, its all original on mine and never been replaced, I ran a HKS DLI for a good few years while running the AEM.

Will the DLI reduce the life of the coil packs or just cover up a problem? I got mine from Nic as he was alot cheaper than Steve Manley.

TLicense did some research into the DLI on another MKIV forum which shows how it works, might be worth a search.
