We are proud to announce that we have opened a new facility in Warringon, Cheshire to service customers in the north of England.
I believe that we are the first tuning company in the UK to offer specialist services in multiple locations. Other notable industry firsts by TDi are: the first 4x4 rolling road in the UK available to the general public, the first tuning company to aquire PLC status, the first tuning company to offer freephone 0800 phone numbers to it's clients, the first tuning company to offer scientific quality hub mounted dynomometer services (Rototest) to the general public. TDi North Ltd is officially launched on 1st of June and is being run by Mr Paul Jones (BSc.Eng), (MBA) who is currently the driver of the fastest front wheel drive n/a car in the UK with his Toda powered Honda Civic Type R. TDi North is offering the following services: Four wheel drive dyno tuning. Ecu mapping facilities for Hondata, HKS, Autronic, Motec, Haltec, Apexi management systems. Engine building Aftermarket product installation. Race and road car preparation. Aftermarket parts sales. The address is: TDi North Ltd Unit 22 Aston Court Kingsland Grange Woolston Warrington Cheshire. WA1 4SG. Freephone 0800 0196055 Thanks.

Thanks, and yes there does seem to be a lack of decent tuners 'ooop north'. Paul at TDi North has been in the tuning game a long time (previously ran System R) and he's pulled a real bright dyno lad out of Oz (where a lot of bright dyno lads seem to be for some reason) to work for him. I must point out that they have our old Sun 4x4 rolling road which won't cater for Supras pushing much beyond 400bhp at the crank but he has already sourced an upgrade package for it so it's worth giving him a call every now and then to see how thats progressing if you need more power capability. Of course this won't affect his ability to supply and fit most parts, nor carry out diagnostic work which is often carried out at low power levels anyway. We're not sure at the moment what the eventual power handling of the rolling road will be but it will likely be at least 600bhp at the crank.
Most importantly of all though, he's a straight guy and won't give you any nonsense. We spent a long time trying to find the right man to head this new venture and we're happy he can do that. Cheers

Good news, I was over Warrington the other week and its not a bad run for me unlike your other place was
One question, are any of the staff at the new place people who have moved over from your original place or are they all new to TDI? I see you mention 2 of the guys but I'm just assuming there is more working there.

Sorry Slick, I didn't even see this post until now I usually look at this board a couple of times a day if not more but I've been busy sorting out a couple of adverts.
No, none of the staff at TDi north are from here. I'm not actually sure how many staff Paul employs at the moment it may just be him and the dyno guy as it's fair to say it's early days for him. Cheers Nathan

Why is Warrington and the local area such a hotbed for tuners?
Why isn't anyone cashing in on the massive gap in the market here in Leeds? |

Leeds? IS there such a place? Is it local? With local people?
Funnily enough we have quite a few customers from Leeds. One of them being Drew Smallwood I think now theres a name from the past...

Hi
At some point in the future I will probably come round and check TDi out in Warrington as I live on Merseyside.Nice to know one of the big tuning companies in the UK is not too far from me.TBH a couple of the Supras you tuned inspired me even more to get my own one day...and now I have it at last. Cheers Ant |
