Rear Shockers
Finally got my car up on a ramp and discovered the creaking at the front n/s is (as suspected) the anti-roll bar link, so two of those needed.
Also both rear shock absorbers are leaking. Where is the best place to start here ? - Mr T ? I've got the part number for the link (from the resources section) but I can't seem to find another supplier for the shockers. Any bright ideas ? |

Thanks Dunk, I'll check it out tomorrow.
On the anti-roll bar link, what to you make of this ? http://www.japarts.co.uk/shop/index....c1217e92a6b0e5 Seems OK - or not ! a lot cheaper though. |

What's the price difference, about half ?
There's nothing really complicated in a drop link so it will probably be fine. However what you may find is that it's not as long lasting as an OEM one due to lower quality materials. Bit unusual to get creaking from drop links, normally they knock when they wear. How is it making a creaking noise?

Worth a try on the antiroll bar as its not going to be drastic if they fail so yeh i'd give them a go.

Martin, the drop link joint isn't worn out - its just partially siezed from standing for long periods.
- bit like me really ! I'll give the cheaper parts a go, I won't be doing many miles anyway - so longevity isn't going to be an issue. |
