Well this thread is mainly for people that had been driving a Mitsubishi eclipse turbo (or Eagle Talon) and now have a supra TT but averyone's comments are welcome.

I currently have a Mitsu turbo and i would like to ask you some things.
Please feel free to put as many comments as you like.

What's you impression about the 320HP supra (after being a 210HP mitsu owner)?
Is a whole different world?
What about the power, did you feel a huge difference?
What about the fuel consumption, did you felt a big difference in your pocket?
Anything you miss from the mitsu?
Are you heppy to switch to a supra?
What if i use it as a daily driver?

Thanks guys, i just want to be shure i'll be a happy if i get rid of my mitsu and buy a supra.

Miky, this is a UK forum so our knowledge on the Eclipse is pretty poor as we don't have that car over here.

Only thing i will say is that i haven't come across many people who have bought a TT and regretted it.

Love the TT, but if running costs are a concern I'd think twice. Not only does it guzzle petrol, but eats tyres, has high insurance, and your sure to be bitten by the modding bug which can empty almost any wallet. I have spent approx ?11K on my car doing various mods and maintaince since buying it, and its not even up with the well modded stuff. Beware ! its a lovely disease, the nicest one of them all.

There aren't eclipses in UK?
Do you guys want one?

About the costs... I already have modded my mitsu a bit, so i know what happens when you get addicted to boost!
I will keep the supra at BPU.

What's the fuel consumption of the supra?
My eclipse eats 12 liters each 100km.

The insurance thing is not a problem, i called the company and it's only 120? more than the eclipse.

Does it breaks or have parts failures often?

I said i'd keep mine at BPU!!!! but the only thing stopping me from going further at the mo is money!!
I'm sure you'll appreciate having modded a car before, that following BPU, in order to progress any further things start getting pretty costly cost when changing one thing you'll find a whole heap of other stuff will need to be done at pretty much the same time to do things properly.
Good thing is the Supe manages to keep a smile on your face even in standard trim, so modding bug is a bit easier to cope with than many other Jap high performance cars.
I've had my MKIV nearly a year, fantastic car, i try to look after her and i believe it's so well engineered that as long as maintained well should'nt give too much trouble.
Sometimes i remember when they first came out over here when i was at college and admire them, now i own one!! and where back then i used to admire the Nissan 300ZX also, i now feel time has outdated the 300ZX looks, but the MKIV still looks fantastic, can't imagine not liking it anytime soon either!!

When I was younger the corvette was the car of my dreams. I remember when the MKIV supra came out, i had a magazine with a comparative of Porsche 944, Corvette, Mitsu 3000gt, Nissan 300ZX, mazda mx5 and the new supra MKIV. Well, i have to admit that when i saw the supra i thought "it was ugly" and "is the last car of those i'll buy" my dream's car was the vette.
But Now i think completelly different. I think it's the best car i could ever drive. I still like the vette a lot but is not a car for me, i need a 4 seat car not a 2 seat one.

I must confess that i still like the looks of the eclipse more than the supra but it's performance got me.

So hope soon i'll be a happy supra driver and will not regret about it.

What's you mileage with the supra? I mean how many miles you can drive per liter of gas?

Thanks.

I must confess that in some ways i like the styling of the MK3 Supra more than the MKIV.

Hence why i have both.

But the MKIV is technically so far ahead.
