My setup is basically:
Mini ITX head unit sized case M10000 motherboard CDRW / DVD slim drive 100GB 2.5" hard drive 512MB Ultra slim RAM 1GHz processor - cant get faster due to case size and motherboard spec. External sound card to provide RCA outputs to my 3 x AMPS 7" Touchscreen display 1 x 4 port USB HUB 1 x Sat nav Mouse system 1 x Wireless 802.11 hub for wireless connection to LAN 1 x Camera system - 2 camera's - 1 pointing out the front of car and one out of the rear, they are wireless and Infrared. I think thats about it... Will be installing over next 2 weeks Oh and theres all the little 12v, 9v, 240volt devices which need there voltages sorted out as well plus a few funky cables. Hornet

Holy shit that looks good.
Very very very impressive!!!!! How much will one of these set me back for the stuff\info on how best to connect it all to a sub\amp\speakers? Only concerns id have is the screen being so visible... but i spose a fake cover wouldnt be to hard to make up... like a crap old looking fake plastic tape player cover to stick over it when parked And, what are the viewing angles like on the screen?? Is it ok in the day time etc (ie mobiles + some TFTs are crap when viewed due to shadows\reflections)? *edit* Also, very nice interface you've designed, do you have to boot into windows to use it or is it a linux type one that you can use to play media without booting windows.. ie just slide cd in and it plays? (quite a few laptops\new media pcs use this now) |

would also like to know how much for all equipment required to get it all set up and working. i'd assume with this been so good you can have a sat nav program run on it?maybe the screen could fit in the lower glove box it would be out of glare from sun light and could also be closed to hide away and look standard.
