Thanks guys... I am so impatient and want it now!!!
Not in a financial position to get one yet but on the postive side it does give me time to try out both the manual and auto as advised... I am waiting to hear back from a friend (The same one that told me about this site) as he is contemplating selling his. I would rather buy from him or an enthusiast rather than just grabbing the first one that comes my way. I have never thought of having modded cars in the past (Well, I've only ever had bangers previously), and find it very confusing with all the things that can be done. Is there a laymans area where I can find out what changes can be made and why? My father owned a Supra years ago which was the standard tt uk version and was impressed with it. Can't wait to see his face when I pull up in my dream car. Once my car and bike has gone, I am looking to spend around 9K so will hopefully get lucky with that amount. Will spend more on it know doubt but that is the starting point I am looking at... The more I think about having a dogs balls Supra, the more I want it NOW!!! |

When you do decide to take the plunge the mechanic who services my Supra was thinking about getting rid of his.
I've used him for all the work done on my Celicas and Supra and he's always produced really good work and been trustworthy. His Supra's a mint Jap TT auto in white with ~ 40-50 thousand km on the clock. Nice exhaust, 17'' alloys with UK brakes and Headlights and a few other extras, but nothing Chav or Bling! It's well looked after and is within your budget mentioned above. I'd have snapped it up like a shot if it wasn't for the colour, which isn't my thing. If you are interested then PM me and I can put you in touch with him. Mac |

Hi fella and welcome to the club.
Before you do anything I would get some insurance quotes to make sure you are happy with the cost involved.

Insurance
Yeah, I've looked into standard UK tt and ok with cost of insurance. Does modded Jap imports vastly increase it? I've got my heart set now so that won't stop me anyway.
Could someone check out ebay and let me know what you think on item 200053302584 Thanks a million:-)

Personally i would stay clear for no other reason that its expensive for the milleage its done. Manual boost control - Bleed valve is half assed, and ive no ideal what an ECU stage 2 chip is??? (I know they it was possible to "chip" the supra , they just stuck in a bleed valve!!). No service history either for 125,000 miles is disgraceful bearing in mind its UK.
You can pick up a much lower milleage model ( i just got a 93 with 55,000 on the clock) for 8k. Ok, so mine was a j-spec but theres not that much difference between uk / Jap really. Its a buyers market this time of year so im sure youll see many more cars over the next month or so. just my tuppence worth.

As far as J spec insurance goes some insurance companys can be a pain in the butt over imports, but there are plently who offer reasonable cover, just a case of ringing around.

Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it's my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.
