Finally today i have finished polishing my throttle body. For anybody who is considering doing this job themselves i advise you to think carfeully as with all the nooks and crannies its bloody awkward to say the least.

I just need to polish up the BOV a bit now as it has a few marks on it and the lacquer is coming away in a few places.

Will have some pics of the engine bay in next couple of weeks.

Mmmmm looks like a nice job Martin, as you say I would imagine a nightmare of a job with all the hard to reach places.

Looking forward to the engine bay pics, something to inspire and make me envious at the same time

Now that polishing is VERY impressive Martin. Probably the best I've seen. Well done! Your engine is going to look great.

Cheers guys, it is getting there believe me

I actually used a combination of wet & drys up to 2000 grit and then a small buffing wheel on the end of a dremel. Lastly used Brilliant polishes to bring up the final shine.

How cheap?! Good idea though, might as well make use of the space left by the stock cooler!
