Well just split my lights again tonight and used Autosol metal polish on everything.
Good tip is once you rub the stuff in use a Hair dryer to dry it in.Its a little bit more work to take off,but all the yellowing comes off a treat.

If you don't have a hair dryer one can be hired from Kev.O

That's f-ing funny.

Now that I'm in "do it myself" mode I shall be disassembling the headlights in the new year and treating them to the full polishing experience.

Cass, your headlights look awesome mate. Good work.

I used T-Cut then paint renovator then white spirit, with a dremel, good results but you must do it quite regular

Sorry to post dredge, but I tried a new method last week that has produced amazing results. After taping round the headlights to protect the paint, I wet-sanded the lenses with 2000 grit wet until there was a white residue over the entire lenses. I then got a mate to buff (I don't own an orbital buffer) them using g3 compound, and finally sealed them with a coat of wax. It's important to use the lowest/slowest setting on the buff, too high will generate heat and you'll run the risk of heat spots or marking the lenses. The entire process took maybe twenty minutes and they're looking better than they ever have even though I regularly cleaned mine in the past with plast-x/rubbing compound etc.
Well worth doing, you'll be amazed at the difference sanding them makes.
