I done mine last week, I had the car on 2 jacks, take the under panel off, reach up in front of the suspension with a proper filter grip and tighten on, you wont get much of a turn but enough to get it going when it gets loose reach up around the back of the suspension and remove with one hand. I'm skinny so this isn't that hard, be prepared for some oil to come out even after draining.
reverse the procedure for refit, no need to wind the filter on like a wheel nut just over hand tight seems fine. imo

No magic method really. Just trial and error to see where you need to position yourself on the floor to best get your hands up to the filter (I have big hands which makes access tricky). I hand tightened the new filter also.

So you'd recommend on the floor, with the tray off and just get your hands in there? Ive got big hands too
 No way it can be taken off standing above?

Managed to change the oil today. No real biggy, apart from getting the filter off. Managed to do it from above by wrenching my incredible hulk stylee hands to get it off amazingly.
Put 5l of Mobil S 10/40 semi synth in there, jobs a guddun
