Default New forum - New Posts

The New Posts feature is working a little weird on the new software. Often I'll push it and I don't get what I expect. I get a few posts and then a load more under the heading "New threads which have unread posts in". So is the new software showing new threads and not new posts?

Yours Sincerely,

Confused from Colchester.

I've just checked again and I get the following at the moment when I check for New Posts: -

Sorry, there are no new threads to view.

You may search for threads updated during the previous 24 hours, here.
But I wasn't searching for new threads, I wanted new posts? Is this a user setup issue or a forum setting?

Do you know if this feature was working earlier in the week?

Arrrggghh !

Reason i ask is because i've changed the way the forum tracks posts you've read and not read. Now you don't need to mark the forum as read, as soon as you've read all posts and come out to the main page it will show all posts read.

I'll need to have a look at this, because in all honesty i never ever use the new posts button/feature.

How do you use it then because I only ever use the New Posts button?

When i come onto the forum i can see which threads have new posts in by the gold 'S' icon. Go into that forum and then the posts with the open envelopes are the ones with new posts in.

Glad thats been changed, I noticed when I had read all the threads the board was still showing gold icons next to each area........I also take it that because of this change my User CP was a little messed up this morning, showing old threads I had already seen.........
