Default temp gauge not working,

Hi guys im pretty new to the forum,i have a problem with my temp gauge it doesnt move at all.The engine is getting warm because its blowing hot air out the heaters.could it be a temp switch???

There are two temp sensors on the water elbow at the top front left of the engine (standing at the front of the car looking under the bonnet), one is for the ECU the other is for the temp gauge.

I'd suspect you have a broken wire on one of them (the temp gauge one)
