Apologies for ressurrecting an old thread, I've finally got round to doing this.

I've got everything I need apart from oil, filter and sump plug washer (90430-12031).

I've spoken to oilman and he's supplying me with Silkolene Pro s 5w40 (plus some diff oil).

There was some discussion on this thread regarding which oil filter to go for. The standard one is 90915-20004 but should I order a Lexus or Land Cruiser one which will have more filtering capacity?

I would fit the Lexus Filter, a little larger.

I think on balance I work try to improve on what Toyota decided and I'll go for the standard one.

Do you pre-fill the oil filter with oil before fitting it or is it fitted empty?

Make sure you oil the rubber seal on the new filter if it's not pre-oiled (dip your finger in the bucket of old oil and just wipe some round the rubber seal). It will help it seal and make life a lot easier when you come to removing it next time around.

Some do come pre-oiled.

2 links for different filters:

Lexus v Supra

TRD USA vs. TRD JAPAN

Lexus one looks best IMO.
