Default Car show ideas

I had an idea this morning after meeting a few members over the weekend and not realising who's car belonged to who!

Why don't we do a group buy on show plates. Maybe with the MSOC logo and the web address next to it with our site names, and real names if neccessary on the bottom of the plate.

This would:
1. Look great on the club stand
2. Protect the identity of the car. (You can't trust anyone these days not to copy the license number)
3. Hide the year of the car, which in some instances will make the car appear so much younger than it is, i.e Barney's car which looks only a few years old, if that.
4. Help out other club members whilst looking around at other peoples car's.

I have a sign chap round the corner who I'm sure could help out and be about to do it at a good price.

What are your opinions??

Great idea. I was thinking along the same lines myself. Put me down for a set.

Nice one Kev, always good to get input and ideas.

Agreed a very good idea, vehicle/security as a given it would certainly help at shows both for newer members and the public wishing to talk to the owner. Another plus at shows and meets with this would be on non-MSOC stands, with the club logo and perhaps the web address it would do no harm in promoting the club also.

I'm all for it, so how about looking into the idea futher?

Emma, what about Mart 'n' Emms on your plate

Kev, after being mistaken for your father on Sunday, anything to do with hiding age is a top idea in my book

I'll pop round the corner in a min and try and catch the owner, and have a word, though a rough idea on numbers might help me get a better price
