window regulator cable broke
does anybody know , if i can just replace the cable, or is it just the mechanism or do u have to replace it all including the motor? Any ideas on price ? Thanks in advance , its driveside btw.

This has happened on a few cars in the past, and as far as I know only the complete regulator assembly is available.

I did this this year on an mr2. the motor was a seperate unit to the regulator.

i have seen some people use bicycle brake cable to replace the cable, but we bought the complete regulator for £53.00 + VAT for each side. You do not get the motor which you can use from the old regulator. I think there are only 4 screws to detach the motor.
