Discussion about going single in the chase for dyno figures or explosive drag strip performance.
Car would only be expected to put down top figures on race fuel and at occasional dyno\strip runs.

Cost would not be a major concern.

MoTeC M800 ECU
Rebuilt engine - probably stroked - JUN or HKS Stroker Kit. ARP Head Bolts JUN Valve train kit inc 272*10.8mm lift Intake and 272*10.8mm lift exhaust cams. (this would turn it into an interference engine) Ti retainers uprated springs, Under bucket shims etc. *replacement intake manifold - not sure which though T-80 DBB - 1000+hp. Full Tubi manifold. Head exhaust ports matched to the manifold. 5" Intake pipe. 4-5" Downpipe + 4-5" exhaust system. Large FMIC with CO2 cooler system for drag racing. Remove the A/C Uprated larger copper radiator. Veilside bonnet ducted to help air flow from the rad. Nitrous 200-300hp system for getting the T80 on boost sooner. Progressive controller. *2-3x Big Fuel Pumps* Walbro GS341's should suffice. #10 fuel lines with a #6 return + 2x #10 fuel filters. 1600cc injectors (idle would have to be set high as the injectors would be too big for a normal idle...and the valve train would make a normal idle bad anyway) PHR fuel rail (17.25mm dia) AFPR - Aeromotive Lightweight pulleys and as it's a race motor with a limited life span...a lighter crank pulley. Tilton Clutch and flywheel pack. ACPT Carbon propshaft - for weight loss and for it's behaviour if it breaks. TRD Diff. I'm sure I'll think of more later.

Nice Alex
Would be good if we could put approx prices next to any listings, so people can get an overall picture of how costly things can be, if done correctly. " Now I gave you that list a week ago Alex, why haven't you fitted it all to my car yet! " hehe

For out and out power an engine build is going to have to be high on the list. Increasing capacity may as well be done on the assumption you will be using a pretty big blower so will want as much volume as possible to get it spooling, also a higher capacity engine will increase torque lower down.
So something around ?7k for a HKS 3.4 stroker and another ?3k for the assembly and any other parts like high lift cams, valve springs, head gasket etc. Would be an easy ?10k spent on just the block.

You must have to spend on getting good traction down with all this power ?
Drag Suspension and DR's for the strip ? And brakes ? Do the 8s cars in US run stock brakes ?

I was avoiding chassis upgrades as they are seperate. However yes you're right lots of other things would need upgrading too.
Infact if we're going for out and out power I'd be sticking in a 3UZ 5.2 V8...

I wonder how long until we see cars built for pure dyno competitions in this country like they seem to do in the US.
