How did the one you had attach to the car? Velcro, screws, sticky back plastic?

Any luck with the paperwork on yours baz? Is yours long enough so that it tucks into the B pillar trim?

Cass, I suspect they won't have a three gauge one but would be good to get an answer. IMO three gauge ones are not very practical as the top gauge is so close to your head that it's hard to read.

Chris would you be able to provide some pictures of the actual Supra one?

So assuming that all is good and Hypersports can supply for less than £85+vat who is defenitely interested.

I was looking into a 4 gauge pillar holder.
Mine are screwed on to the dash the now and looks untidy with the wire covers showing IMO.
But i dont like the glove box holder conversion.
I'm a fussy bugger lol.

I took a look at the a-pillar this morning. Am I right in thinking that you have to chop the existing trim in half to fit one of these new items? Because as far as I can tell that piece of trim goes from just over the little round speaker in the dashboard all the way back to the rear quarter window.

[edit]

Once I know how I'd fit one of these, then I may well be interested in getting one. I don't want to get one only to find it's a PITA to fit and doesn't look right.

Nope with the Greddy ones (and i believe some of the others) you fit the new one over the top and screw\secure it to the existing trim.

With the other type, which Chris is describing you take the old trim off and fit this one in its place. A lot better idea.

I wouldn't want to fit one of those. I want the car to look like it left the factory with this fitted. (And not bodged over the top)

Do you reckon that this new item would completely replace the existing trim, i.e. stretch from the a-pillar all the way over the door to b-pillar?

You mentioned GReddy pillars there Martin.
Another Question to Chris would be are the holders one standard size if so i take it all the GReddy Gauges are the one size.
If not what size pods are there avalibal ???.

Errr yeah, that's the general idea and the reason why I want to replace my Greddy one. The full length ones i've seen to date always seem to end a little short of the B pillar, which IMO is a bit crap. If Hypersports one doesn't and the quality is good then that's the one I want.

Cass - Most gauges come in 52mm or 60mm sizes, sometimes you have to cut your own holes, sometimes they come pre-cut, again all depends on the supplier.
